Testimonials

If I could provide any form of advice to new parents it’s that building your support team for labour is truly the key to having a “great” birth. I will never forget the people that helped bring my son into this world. To everyone that helped, it was their everyday at work but to me & my husband it was the most important day of our lives & meant the world. I will forever be thankful for meeting Geri.

—Devon

From our very first meeting, I felt Geraldine was exactly the kind of support I was hoping for—experienced, calm, and deeply reassuring. Because of her guidance, I was able to approach my birth with real confidence. On the day of the birth, she was truly the most valuable player. My husband was in contact with her while I was in early labor, and she offered thoughtful, steady advice until it was time for her to join us. I had a truly beautiful home birth, and Geraldine was the perfect support, both physically and emotionally. She gave me exactly the encouragement I needed during transition and, in the indescribable moment of birth, captured a few photographs that still move me to tears.

What became just as meaningful over time was the way Geraldine treated birth as a family experience rather than an individual or purely medical event. In a process where partners (especially husbands) can easily become peripheral or invisible, she consistently made space for me as well. She checked in, asked how I was doing, and treated my presence as something that mattered rather than something to manage around. That recognition was never intrusive or performative; it was simply woven into how she practiced care.

By acknowledging and supporting both of us, Geraldine helped us stay connected to one another during an intense and vulnerable time. Her attention strengthened our ability to support each other and move through the experience as a team. And throughout our experience, she went far beyond birth support alone: she cared for the emotional and relational life of our family as it was coming into being. We felt seen, respected, and genuinely held—together.
