Postpartum Support

I provide one-on-one support as you navigate the only constant in life as a new parent: change.

The transition to motherhood involves intense physical, emotional, and psychological changes that are finally being recognised as lasting far beyond the six-week postpartum period.  Yet mothers are expected to ‘get back’... to work, into physical shape, back to their old lives when something deep inside them has changed forever.

I offer in-home and virtual support as a postpartum doula.

In-home postpartum support

A postpartum doula can help ease this transition by providing hands-on support in the home while nurturing the new family.

  • I can provide help with tasks large and small, always keeping in mind every family’s individual needs and choices:

    • Guidance on infant care (bathing, swaddling, baby wearing, diapering, sleeping, calming)

    • Tips for healing and recovery after delivery

    • Care for baby while parent/s rest, shower, eat

    • Meal preparation

    • Light housekeeping such as laundry and dishes

    • Refer to other providers and resources when your needs go beyond our scope

    • Help process birth experiences

    • Nurture the new family and acknowledge the emotional rollercoaster of life as a new parent

  • Visits are 3 or 4 hours in length and can be scheduled as frequently as you need. To be used within the first three months. Available in 12 or 24 hour blocks.

  • I’m here to support your family through this transition - don’t hesitate to reach out for hourly rates or shorter time frames.

    12 hours: $650

    24 hours: $1200

Virtual postpartum support

  • The most common question I hear is "is this normal?" Put your mind at ease and avoid going down the rabbit hole of online advice by having a doula available for regular check-ins and on the fly questions.

  • Fourth Trimester: $1000

    • First 6 weeks: Dedicated weekly calls (up to 60 minutes in length) to talk through questions

    • 7 - 13 weeks: Dedicated calls every two weeks

    • Unlimited text/calls for questions or concerns as they arise

    Extended support: $1900

    • Extend the Fourth Trimester Support with monthly calls for the first year
